The biggest problem with injuries in weightlifting is knowing when to give up. Last night I was doing deadlifts, my right hand slipped a tiny bit and my back witnessed a sharp pain. Like a stupid idiot, I tried to do the weight again. I did a perfect deadlift, or should I say I completely failed…
I should have given up as soon as I felt that twinge, but I didn’t. If I had given up as soon as I felt discomfort, I may have been able to finish my night and be pain free today.
My tip is that when you feel ANY discomfort, mental block or not with it. DON’T DO IT.
It’s not worth it…
