I thought it would be ideal to find out how many calories I burn during my training hour, so i can manage my food intake accordingly. Tonight I strapped on the heart monitor and went ahead with my normal routine. I managed to burn 730 calories! As I am still in the learning stage of weightlifting, I was under the impression that weightlifting wouldn’t burn many calories at all, luckily, I was wrong.
At the moment, I’m trying to have a high protein, low fat, low calorie diet. I’m quite sure I will be able to achieve my goal of 10% bodyfat sooner than expected if I can keep this up. (15% body fat is my first goal, although my dream is 10%. Currently 19%)
I will update this post with my calorie burn on the treadmill tomorrow evening…
