I have been using pre-workout supplements for some time now. I really thought that they gave me a good energy boost at the gym, as well as a bit of extra strength. This week though, I haven’t had any pre-workout supplements and I haven’t noticed a change in energy or strength at all. In fact, I would say that I’m more focused without the supplements.
As you know, this is my blog and my experience only and I’m seriously swaying to say that these pre-workout supplements are rubbish. I have felt just as energized with a good energy meal before the gym, as I would have with a supplement.
I find that doing good at the gym depends on several things. Sleep, work, chores, mental state and diet are a few to name. You need to have everything in place for your body to push harder at the gym.
These supplements also come at a price. I paid £36 for 60 servings of C4 and I’m starting to think that it’s a big waste of cash. I will continue to use these supplements though and continue to report on how I find them, but for now, I’m just not feeling it.
Eat well, sleep well, do well…
