A killer, explosive, cardiovascular, technique and strength tester.
This is a fantastic exercise if you are in a rush at the gym. It targets the majority of your muscles and is sure to get your endorphins going wild. I always start this exercise with just the Olympic bar (20kg) and then move up to 60kg, 70kg, 75kg and 80kg. I did attempt 82.5kg, but I had already hit fatigue by then. I know that this exercise will seriously help me when doing Clean and Jerks. I’m just struggling to Clean and Jerk at the moment, due to an ongoing wrist injury.
I am also working on my squat clean, by doing front squats. This is just going to be a 10 year aim and not a near future one.
